The Disciplinary Committee of the LSL 2006 was set up to review and respond to any queries, protests and complaints that are received from any team. In an attempt to ensure impartiality and fairness The DC is compiled of 5 people who have in depth knowledge of the regulations of the LSL and come from different teams taking part in this year’s tournament. They have also served as referees and have knowledge of most teams and a good grasp of football in general. The idea is to have five members to decide on any issues that are brought forward which will ensure there will always be a majority vote.
The idea is to handle any issues that the LSL may receive from teams such as disputing decisions of referees, demanding replays, deciding on punishment for acts of violence etc. The DC will review any issues or claims like these and based on the context of the regulations, make a ruling. Of course, if a situation arises where one of the committee members’ own team is involved, we will choose another ad hoc representative to stand in his place.
If you have a grievance or protest that you would like brought to the DC, please send to the normal LSL contacts and it will be dealt with accordingly.
